Attendance Tracking
Attendance
tracking involves keeping track of which people are present in a
company, classroom or other organization.
In an office setting, often people will want to know whether certain
employees are currently there. If the employee is out it is often
desirable to know when they will return. In the past such office
attendance tracking was handled by using an in/out attendance board.
This board would have a list of employees in one column and two other
columns labeled In and Out. For each employee a peg was placed in the
In column if they were in the office or in the Out column if they were
not present. A big problem with this board was that it was maintained
in a single location, usually at the front desk. To check if someone
was in you'd either have to walk down to the front desk or phone the
receptionist.
More and more, companies are now opting for software that replaces the
physical In/Out attendance tracking boards. Attendance tracking
software has several advantages to a physical board. Most importantly,
employees can conveniently track employee attendance from their own
workstations instead of having to check a board at a central location.
Software can also track attendance data historically and even generate
reports and graphs to show trends.
CyberMatrix has solutions for each of
these types
of attendance tracking applications. In
Out Scheduler keeps track of which
people are in the office and when those who are out will return.
